SpeechBuilders’ Covid Policy

As we start the new year we have put established our policy for our office and school visits. Here is our policy-please work with us to keep us all safe:

All persons working at SpeechBuilders should have face coverings.

All persons that enter the building should wash hands and have face coverings.  Children being treated do not need face coverings.  All others need face coverings.

After all sessions-the table should be wiped, hands washed and toys sprayed down.  Books and paper based materials do not have to be sprayed down.

Everyone that comes into the building  will have their temperature taken.  A person with a temperature above 100.4 will not be allowed into the building for 14 days.

If a patient tests positive they will be quarantined for 14 days.  The parent must produce evidence of a negative test result  in order to return to therapy in the office.  Amy or Adrienne need to see the proof.   The therapist working with the patient also will be quarantined for 14 days.

If an employee/contractor tests positive-all patients will be contacted.  All schools the therapist serviced will also need to be contacted.  The employee/contractor will need to produce a negative test result before being allowed to return to work in the office.  If the employee/contractor is asymptomatic and is able to work virtually-she will be allowed to do so.  Leave is given to employees that are not able to work.

Exposure reported by a parent will result in a 14 day quarantine from our office.  Whether the therapist assigned to the patient will need to go into quarantine will be determined by management.

Until further notice-therapists will only be in schools (that allow us in) one day per week.  If  2/wk is recommended please schedule the 2nd visit virtually.
